HUES & HPS Ski & Ride Program info from parent coordinator Daragh Taylor.

Believe it or not, the ski season will be here before we know it. The Learn to Ski & Ride Program for HUES and HPS students in grades 1-6 will be at Pats Peak again this year. Students in first grade must be at least six years old by January 1, 2019 in order to participate in the program. Our program is scheduled to run on five consecutive Thursdays, starting on January 3, 2019 through January 31, 2019. Lessons run from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

The children will be issued a ski/ride program tag and will be allowed to use that tag to ski/ride before and/or after their lessons on their program day. The Learn to Ski & Ride Program also offers Bonus Days. Please click the link below for more information on Bonus Days and additional perks of the program.

All students must wear a ski helmet. Helmet rentals are available. Please see Pats Peak’s website for pricing.

Please click on the following link to register and for more information about the program, pricing and rental fees:…/Learn-to-Ski-Ride-Program.aspx

The access code to register is Hollis2019. To receive early pricing, registration and payment must be made and paid in full on or before November 15, 2018. The pricing stated above increases by $25.00 for all registrations and/or payments received on or after November 16, 2018.

Chaperones are needed at the mountain! Pats Peak requires one chaperone for every seven students participating in the program. A chaperone does not need to be a skier or rider to participate; however, they must be at least 21 years old. Chaperones ski/ride for free on the program day. Chaperones will have responsibilities to help the children as needed. A list of responsibilities will be provided to those interested in being a chaperone. Please consider being a chaperone. The SAU volunteer policy does not apply to ski club as it is not a school sponsored event.

There will be bus transportation for HUES and HPS* students to and from Pats Peak for an additional cost however SEATS ARE LIMITED as we only have one bus. I will be collecting a $75.00 deposit to reserve a seat on the bus. SEATS WILL BE RESERVED IN THE ORDER THAT I RECEIVE A $75.00 DEPOSIT FROM YOU. Pricing will be dependent on the number of students electing to take the bus. If the cost to ride the bus per student is more or less than the $75.00 deposit, I will refund the difference or ask you to pay the difference, as applicable. Once the maximum number of students/chaperones allowed to ride the bus has been reached, you will be notified that your child will be put on a wait list for a seat. A seat will NOT be guaranteed and you will have to provide your own transportation to and from Pats Peak if a seat is not available. The bus will pick the students up after school at HUES and will return to HUES around 8:30 pm. Chaperones will be needed on the bus.

*HPS students will be able to ride the bus ONLY if they have a chaperone on the bus with them. Each chaperone can chaperone one non-related child in addition to their own children. If a HPS student does not have a chaperone, his/her parents will have to provide their own transportation for their child to and from Pats Peak.

Please contact the parent coordinator Daragh if you have any questions on Facebook, at or 603-438-5317. The $75 bus deposit goes directly to Daragh.  Please email her to arrange payment via check or venmo.

Hope to see your kids on the slopes!
